‘Poems’ for the Post-Modern age — It’s virtually a happy mealtime!

The family assembled virtually for dinner;
While waiting for the food to arrive;

The Dad emitted his wisdom through the AirPods:
“Son, do you know how we get the food?”
The son busy on his PS7 quipped:
“Yes, by the hard work of Deliveroo man.”

Zooming in, sternly warned the Mom,
“No games at the VR table!”
Sighing and heaving, the kids and the robots paused.

The Indian, Mexican or Chinese,
What are we having? — The granny
Through her legacy Ipad.
The puzzled yung one sought:
Are they the dragons, aztecs or the asuras?!

Having gathered to dine after aeons,
At Meta, taking out his BitCoins
And ignoring his Mom,
What have you made? the Dad asked,

Sweetly she spoke — The Alexa:
JustEat the Zomato that I ordered
the locally sourced Getir, for the Missus, and
Thoughtfully, the Hungry Panda for kids!

Peeved, the Dad banged his VR headset
the Mom calmed him with a Grubhub
EASI
! the Rocket is good for health!
While the kids wish to OrderYOYO,
Siri stopped and called for YandexEats

Settling for the Byte, they all gathered.
Holding their arms through VR gears,
Cortana murmured prayers, from
The Burger’s Priest!

After the healthy SUPPER, Bixby cheekily
Asked, “who’s doing the dishes?”
Ah! SkipTheDishes, Mr D., is there!
